In connection with the 571th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan is providing meetings and poetry evenings at schools, orphanages, information and resource centers.

Scientists, literary critics, propagandists of spirituality, teachers, students, writers and poets took part in the event organized at the Republican Children’s Library.

Upbringing of harmoniously developed young people as worthy successors of the great ancestors is an important area of spiritual and educational reforms carried out in the country.

In the years of independence, multivolumed full collections of works of Alisher Navoi were published.

This year, 337 farms operating in Kushtepa district of Ferghana region scheduled to sow cotton on 8,509 hectares of land.

At present, the machine-tractor parks of the district are actively preparing farming machines for planting season.

Experienced specialists of the company refurbished and prepared 67 equipment units for the season.

15 types of spare parts for agricultural machines which increase the efficiency of repair are produced in it.

One of the biggest achievements of independence was the fact that many of the monuments of Uzbekistan have found a second life.

Over the years, an enormous creative and restoration work made in this direction under the leadership of President Islam Karimov.

Such monuments as Machiti Kalon (mosque of Kalyan), madrasah of Mir-Arab and memorial complex of Bahovuddin Naqshband and others acquired their initial appearance.

A concert devoted to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and China was held in Turkistan Palace on 5-6 February.

The friendship and art evening entitled “Joyful Spring Festival” is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of China in Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the opening of the concert, the Minister of Culture and Sports Tursunali Kuziyev, charge d’affaires of the People’s Republic of Uzbekistan, Zhang Wei emphasized that cooperation between our countries is consistently developing in all areas, particularly in the cultural sphere.

Culture and art have always contributed to strengthen friendship between nations. Cultural ties consistently developing between Uzbekistan and China, exchange of experience in science, education, culture and art serve for this noble goal.
